Do you have bad neighbors? I've got to have one of the worst neighbors in the world. He'll bake a cake for he and his wife and then give us the remainder before it gets stale. The nerve of him thinking I like free cake!! He does the same thing with pies and cookies too. Doesn't he know he's making me fatter? The man has no shame. Just this morning while my wife was walking our dog, he waved for her to approach him and gave her some summer sausage to bring home. He even gives us venison that he has harvested. I just can't but think of poor Bambi while I dine on his mother. I'm telling you this neighbor is devious and cruel.

To the few that can't read between the lines, I've got a GREAT neighbor and I appreciate the favors he does for us.

Man, I just hate neighbors like that ... Got a few of them too. The worst thing is, I feel obligated to get them nice Christmas presents and everything. Why don't people just stay inside and never invade others space!

Yeah I really do have some awesome neighbors, he brings his track hoe over to help me do engine swaps, and has mowed my lawn when the mower broke down. Of course I have offered to do anything he needs as well and even stabiled his lawn mower for him when the season was over.

Its nice living in a neighborhood that people take care of each other.

If any of you move, let me know. I'd love to have some bad neighbors, too.

I'm joking, I also have some helpful neighbors. Just no hunters or they horde their venison. :) I would also think of Bambi's mother - How good she is. Yum-Yum :D

Well I live in a crowded area .....to the east I have a family of 4 + 125 +/- cows and they are great......to my west a family of two who keep the breweries in business....... I would not trade my neighborhood for anything and I am even going to keep my house and get the driveway paved when I win the Mega Millions tomorrow night!!! :D

Re: Bad Neighbors?

My closest neighbors are Amish families and the nearest grocery stores are 12 miles away so anytime I have to run to town I always check with them first to see if they need me to pick them up anything. I never want for home baked bread and cookies.

In the summer when I am using the weed eater on the ditches and banks along the lane it seems that as soon as I start a couple of the young boys show up with their equipment to help me out. We take care of each others property when someone has to go out of town for a few days. It amazes me how much firewood I can get moved and stacked in exchange for having the boys up to watch an hour of the Outdoor Channel.

God has blessed me to have returned to a simpler time where people trusted each other, helped each other, and don’t depend on the government for their needs.

I'm lucky to have great neighbors, one is even boarding a friend of mines horses while she looks for land to buy simply cause he wants to help her out and has the space.

I had this sudden urge to go look at my boat in the middle of the night last night. Was rummaging around with just a flashlight. My neighbor came out to make sure it was me! Darn nosy neighbor!! :)

Re: Bad Neighbors?

My old neighbor (and then became a friend) was the promotions director for the biggest radio station in our area. CHA CHING! Plus I had always been a listener so he hooked me up even more so. Tickets to anything, back stage passes, gift cards etc. He'd walk up to me and hand me a $100 gift card for a sporting good store out of no where.

However he quit drinking and moved onto a different job, then we moved....haven't talked to him in a while.

My neighbors now are a doctor and lawyer, nice but keep to themselves. I'm the odd guy, chopping firewood always working on boats and jet skis in the garage. The first time I ever met the doctor I was leaf blowing and when I waved he gave me a weird look, then walked over and said "are you working?"

My direct neighbors are a business owner and a country singer. We literally still borrow cups of sugar and eggs from eachother. They are great neighbors but in the next cul de sac over that's not the case.

Hey Bob - Have the Moo-chers jumped the fence and stampeded up your unpaved driveway looking for a handout since you won last night? :D

Re: Bad Neighbors?

Ya.. i had horrid neighbors like that for 7 years..they were always leaving full cases of beer in my back porch for no reason at all, his nasty wife always said "hi, good luck fishing" and asking if i needed anything when i was sick. They both weren't nice/friendly/caring people at all.. the best part is they retired and moved to VA this spring.... :(

and now i have some young, really NICE and CONSIDERATE neighbors...
