Bad carb

Hello again I have ran into another problem the carborator is bad on this boat I got a rebuild kit and thought about ordering a replacment one is there another brand that fits this engine or does it have to be oem? Attached is the numbers on it. Thanks all.

What do you suspect is bad with the carb? Is it not idling or not riving up or what? I ask because IF the carb was absolutely clean inside and out and there are no waddled out shaft hole issues, what could go bad on a carb... Most everything else could be refurbished to make it run. IDK

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,...... 99% of the time, a good thorough cleanin'/rebuild is all that's needed,.....

Number on the carb is meaningless. What engine? (Year, model, serial number)

Not really. I think the $350 is not for an oem mercarb but an aftermarket bolt in replacement like sierra sells?
