I just turned 63 this spring and have been smoking since 15. Quitting smoking is the hardest thing I've ever done. It's been just over 8 weeks and I still have harsh cravings. The downhill spiral started for me at 48 and my 1st pair of glasses, bifocals. Then my 1st heart Cath.
I'm just grateful that I've found doctors that I can trust my life to and have the skills to do what they do. Believe me, I'm so far in medical debt that I will never be able to cover it in my life time. Testing is fine but it doesn't always find everything either.

Ya I have seen so many driven into bankruptcy while fighting for their lives. Either that or they just quit paying or pay as little as possible. Many don't know it but their Insurance will only go so far towards the skyrocketing health care cost. How can you pay the premiums when you can't work?. Serious illnesses can go on much longer than the money.. Hard enough just trying to stay alive. Oh well...........

I wish you the best donz. I hope you don't have anymore serious medical problems. Your positive attitude will help you along with your wifes support will help you get anything to come. That is what I need to work on. Keeping a positive attitude. Didn't want to leave this thread on a negative. That is a start lol

DayCruiser just remember that there is always a positive side to everything, just need to look for it and see it for what it is. I learned long ago that all I need do is look around me and I can find people in a more dire position then me no matter how low I feel.
