Re: Average number of miles you drive per year
In NY, mileage is reported at annual safety inspections, on titles when they change hands, and registrations when a car is bought/sold.
I got the discount almost a year ago & reported my mileage to the ins. co for the discount. Then got rid of that car in May, and reported the mileage of the "new" car then, so I expect it will be at least another year until they ask me for mileage again.
I know we pack on about 30k miles per year between two vehicles. But, I'm not sure how that data would be collected here in TN. We don't report annually to insurance or at registration, and outside of the big cities and connecting counties there's not much emission testing.

My driving is too eratic. I might have a month with nearly no driving and then have one that would eat the entire 7,500 annual miles allowed.
