Re: Asbestos Seal?

Leandro...don't know that I would use asbestos. May suck up oil and gas from the exhaust and eventually blow out again. I would go with the stock gasket for the repair.

Re: Asbestos Seal?

What about Seal Paper (Papel de empacadura), basically and i hate to say this, I went to Evinrude of Venezuela and they told me that they will not have the seal, because they cannot get $$$$ to buy them. So thanks to my f....g president i cannot use my boat. I hope you guys understand im getting crazy without my boat working. Sorry abou this. So, should i use "Seal Paper"?

Re: Asbestos Seal?

Leandro...Si'....that would work. Use a good quality paper and cut your own. Try and get the old one off in as much as one piece as possible so you can trace it. A trick to using paper, if you would lay a piece on one of the mating surfaces, the midsection would be the easiest, take a hammer and tap along the sharp edges of the surface. This will give you a good pattern. Hope we've helped. Keep us posted as to your progress. Thanks.
