I am disappointed too. I was looking forward to actually meeting people from this site. It looks like the weather is going to be PERFECT!!

That was a great trip, thanks for all the kindness and merriment, Angie and i had a great time , will be posting pics soon, most of them are on her camera or phone , i only have a couple on mine.
Coop you picked a great spot and ordered up some awesome weather *****(five stars) on a scale of 5.
Anyone who did not attend fearing the heat , you missed it, as the temps were lower this weekend than they have been in a while.
Will deffinitely have the boat water ready for next year.

We just got back had and had a great time except for the whole hospital deal, but hey a party isn't a party without a trip to the ER. And coop, did confirm my prop is spun so I guess I'll pick up a 13p and see what we do.

Im gonna be at the sand bar next weekend for one last outing before the kids go off to school. Might pack my volleyball net...

wife went swimming and we she hopped off the pontoon her ring got stuck in the railing. Swoll up instantly, thought she broke it. Of course I had every tool possible except a pair of dikes, but he got some from a guy in a house boat. Cut it off and headed to the ER. Didn't break it but real good sprain and still swollen. I'll get some pics up once I recover from the weekend lol.

Yeah baby, we got some pics! Might take me a while to figure out how to get them on here, but I'm sure as other crew members straggle homeward more photographic evidence will surface. Our crew was kinda small due to last minute work obligations and MIA would be members:confused:, but what we lacked in quantity was more than made up with quality.:) We had one mishap after the other (late arrivals, finger injuries, etc.), but we finally got our act together Saturday for a great time. The weather was absolutely perfect. Heck, we even had a birthday party for Admiral Smoe on the water. Her reaction was cute as a button.

Finally figured out how to extract the photo from the email. A computer genius I ain't. image001.jpg Notice the fine looking uniforms we were sporting courtesy of The Rooster, who as we speak is probably en route back to Ponchatoula. Left to right; first is my buddy Mark (his admiral was snapping us) and his son Jack, who has been in love with the vice admiral (Gracie) since they were old enough to talk. Poor little fella. He's got it bad, but she has no time for such silliness. Next are the Coops. The admiral (Deborah) is next to me with the vice admiral in front. In front of us is the crew mascot Cookie. The Smoe family also had a mascot named Ruby. She was a cute little critter but didn't make this photo. Next to us are Mr. and Mrs. Rooster (Cliff and Gina Schinetzky). We had a great time comandeering their Sea Doo and eating the homemade Cajun crab dip they brought. That was some good stuff Ms. Gina! Behind Team Rooster are Big Lee and his bride Angie. Angie was kind enough to mix up some special burgers that were mighty good. Last but not least that fine looking brood on the end is Team Smoe. Aren't they handsome? The kids were a joy, and Deborah keeps talking about how sweet Fatima was. What can I say? Smoe and I were both smart enough to marry up.:D We had a great time and I'm sure there will be plenty more pics to come.

Yes, the Sea Doo was waaaaaaaaay too much fun. Smoe, hope the new prop solves the RPM issue. That's a really nice looking barge, and I think you did great on the purchase. We'll be on Catherine this weekend, so you'll have to hold down the sand bar without us. Here's a shot of Cookie in action. image001.jpg

OMG, we had such a good time in the beautiful, crystal clear waters of Lake Quachita. A big thanks to "Incoop" for setting this whole thing up. We do look rather sharp in our uniforms. Might give the Floridians some ideas !!!:) Can't wait to go back. Definetly worth the 7 1/2 hr. drive.

Well since I showed up late due to the hospital thing, I have no say in what might have happened before I got there, which might have been a good thing since I brought the kids lol

Ha! You guys are reading way too much into it. What happened, at least with regard to the Coops, is as follows:

Arrived around 8:45 Friday night with Gracie and Cookie, loaded camping gear on the boat, and headed out on the lake in search of a spot to beach. Beached on a point that would normally be under ten feet of water:eek: and set up for the night. Went exploring for a while then went to bed. Woke up Saturday morning and headed in to Brady to have breakfast. Ran the boat aground on the way in to Brady because the shallow water started half a mile before the shallow water buoys, still my fault. No damage to boat or motor. Toons sure are tough. Hopped in (had the foresight to wear my Keens instead of flip flops) and freed the boat then cruised on into Brady. Had breakfast then cruised over to the ramp to dump the camping gear and tidy up a little to make room for passengers while Gracie and Cookie went for a swim. Yes, we spend all that time, energy and money on boating but can never pass up a public swim beach. Oh well. Anything that makes Gracie laugh is good with me.

Had been in contact with the admiral (Deborah) several times, but she was being a slowpoke, so I decided to go pick up Big Lee and his bride while we waited on her. Ran into a buddy on the way out to get them and he volunteered to wait for Deb, so we made arrangements to meet up with them in the area where we planned to beach and Gracie hopped onto their boat. Team Rooster pulled up on the jet flea as I was idling out of the marina with Big Lee and Angie, so the five of us headed out. The remainder of our party straggled in and the rest is documented history.

So, I'd say all in all it's amazing we had any kind of get together given all the miscues, but once we finally did get together we had a GREAT time. As far as I'm concerned we got all the kinks worked out, so next year the ones who couldn't make it will benefit from our 'sperience.

Well, there may be at least (1) picture we couldn't share. Apparently "Smoedog" and my wife thought we were on a "clothing optional" beach !!!
