Re: Are there "girl's cars" and "mens cars"

I been noticing, and here is some of my observations about Dallas/Fort Worth traffic.

Probability that a given car is driven by a woman:
Any minivan 95%
Any SUV 50%
Any red SUV 60%
Any Lexus SUV 99%
Any 1/2 ton pickup 35%
Any smaller pickup 15%
Any larger pickup 20%
Any commercial vehicle 2%
Carelessly driven vehicle 70%

This is just weekday driving, on the weekends things are different.

Hey Wilkin, I own a Tacoma TRD extended cab. It is the first American made Toyota I have owned. A agree with you, it is what we referr to as a b**ch ride. I am selling it and getting a Land Cruiser.

Now around here, a Ford F-250 4X4 extended/double cab is a chick ride. Lots of horse owners and ranchers and stuff and the women all drive these big Fords and pull all manner of ranch related trailers.

To continue the thread:
Hummer H2 - girl car
Hummer H1 - guy car
Any Low Rider - guys with girl hands car
Any jacked up 4X4 - guy car

I don't think Jeep owners have anything to apologize for, except maybe the Cherokees (2.5L and 2.8L-GM engines)of the mid eighties.

Johnson --- you sound as passionate about Jeeps as I am!! What are you running?

DJ: Yeah, you're right those mid-eighties Cherokees (AKA XJ's in the world of Jeeps) are crap-rides. But, throw a 3" lift, some 35's, SOA conversion, and a few other goodies and you've got a very slick and capable ride!

SW: Add H3 to the list

H3: Girl CAR

Sean

ee,

Yep, you're right. They just weren't "Jeeps" in their "civilian" clothes.

Hey SW,

If you get a Land Cruiser, make sure you put a "man's engine" in it. Went for a run to visit some friends about 150 miles away. Got 24 mile per gallon fuel comsumption... Not too bad for 6.5 litres of GM.

Chris.........

Do you find it ironic that a car called a "probe" is a girls car?

H2 I think of as girl's car but why are so many men driving 'em?

International Harvester: man's man's car!

Aggie hitchhiking home for the summer, a brand new corvette pulls over and surprise! it's his buddy from A&M.
"Great car, man! How'd you get it?"
"I was hitchhiking just like you, and this hot chick pulls over in this very car. She got out, took off all her clothes & said, 'you can have whatever you want.' so acourse I took the car."
"Good thinking, man, her clothes woulda never fit you."

Re: Are there "girl's cars" and "mens cars"

Here are the vehicles I have owned. Some were girl cars, some where not.

Ford F150 4x4 w/351 (present)= guy rig

Suzuki Sidekick =girl rig but got great economy

1980 Subaru wagon =don't know, everybody in Idaho drives one or has driven one

1970 International Scout with Ford 302 conversion =guy rig

94 Ford Probe GT =Girl rig but it handled very well and was pretty fast

1988 Isuzu pickup = guy rig, I don't care what anyone says

1980 Nissan Maxima =who knows, I sold it to a junk yard

1975 Chevy Blazer = Guy rig

mid 80s Chevy Monte Carlo = gave it to the ex wife, who gave it to someone else. I owned it one day.

1977 Chevy Malibu Classic Stealth Bomber = Mine was a guy rig, it hauled arse!

1989 Dodge Daytona Shelby Turbo = It was my first car, it was new, it was pretty fast, I didn't know what gender orientation it was at the time.

1979 Honda Prelude = girl rig, I had it a week, fixed the clutch, sold it for profit.

1980 Ford Escort Wagon, flesh colored, = definately girl rig.

I am not convinced the new '05 Stang V6 should be classified as a girl rig because it has the same power that the older 5.0 Stangs had, I think it should still be a guy rig.

The Miata, very girlie, but a 5.0 conversion makes it a beast to be reconned with (but stil girlie)

H2 just makes me want to vomit, regardless of who is driving it. It is a tarted up Yukon for Christ's sake. Men drive them because they can't afford a real Hummer, but still suffer from small genital syndrome (SGS), or they wanted a rig with less towing or carrying capacity than the Yukon it is based on.

A hot chick exiting a new Dodge ram 4x4 4door duelly just about makes me want to think improper thoughts :)

Re: Are there "girl's cars" and "mens cars"

JasonJ: regarding the '05 Mustang - this car performs like the '04 & prior GT's? I'll have to see it to believe it, until then, I'm gonna hafta scoff at any guy I see driving a mustang that don't say "GT" or "SVT" on it somewhere. :) :)

I think a station wagon (and most any 4-door sedan) is gender-neutral. Except maybe a SVT Taurus which is a guy car. And a Maxima. And a BMW 5-series.

BMW 6- and 8-series: men's cars.

What about the Audi TT?
Porshe Boxter?
Fiero?
Karmen Ghia?

Re: Are there "girl's cars" and "mens cars"

Fiero - definitly guy with SGS car
boxter - girl car or, "i wish i had a turbo" and the money for it guy car
SVT taurus - only a "i think i have a really cool sports car" guy car...but in reality - chick car
dodge magnum - guy car
maxima - girl car, or poor guy car
however texas, about the v6 stangalang - the only paople i see that are driving them that don't have a bust size - seem to think that they actually have a cobra with a 12 cylinder porshe engine under the hood that will smoke a ferrari, but a stock 6 banger stang body.
and that is just flat annoying...but that's just my observations
neon - chick car
gigantic suv - 93 % chick car
