Are there any thoughts on the best manufactured years for Lund boats?

If not brand new, current condition matters significantly more then the year.

A well cared for, maintained and stored 1960 Lund could easily be a better boat today then an abused 2015.....

Different years often have different feature, build methods and layout. Then add personal preferences and you end up w no clear best year/model

Agreed. Lund is a quality brand just like the others. Find a boat with your desired features and then judge the current condition of the boat.

Motors do tend to have good and bad years though, so that might be a better question depending on the brand and the year.

All Lunds are quality boats they did not make any lemons.
Except for the bad transom models from a few years back.
1999-2006 had a bunch of materials related transom issues.
Genmar made Lunds used cheap plywood.

Genmar sold Lund to Brunswick for the 2007 model year and the issue was taken care of by using better ply and processes.

Plenty of info on the web, walleyecentral, Facebook, lund owners group, etc.

I did not like my 1974, seemed tippy, (hull shape).
Liked my 1976 model.
