Re: Are Crownline decent boats???

This sentence means that neither of you know anything about boats.

That's a matter of opinion. However, all three boats I have owned are bigger than the boats you list in your signature. COnsidering this is quickly degrading into an e-pissing contest, though, I doubt a witty comment is going to change your mind, but I figured I would throw that out there. :)

I have reasons for my feelings on Sea Ray and Crownline, primarily revolving around fit and finish vs. price.

Oh Matt, You never worked on any of the boats that you said you owned ??.

Remember posting on BOC ??. Dmcb & Ipoff & Whiskeywizard & so on caught you in so many lies. . .

How many boats did you almost buy last year ?? Oh yeah is was up to 4 or 5 Baysinkers.

You read from Bayliner brochures & the internet to think you know it all.

PS, Remember when you said you came out here to visit your Mom ??.

And you said I found your boat Summer Fun at Marion Manor. Well guess what pal !!! that boat was on the other side of the lake with a new owner at that time.

So theres another lie.

End of story. :)

Blackrocket -

New or used?

Though I have never owned, or for that matter driven either, there is one of each parked in my marina. Both early to mid 2000's. The chap is a twin engine 28 or 29. Very sporty. Not very well taken care of, but has nice lines. The crownline is a single engine 24-26' and is a little more "searayesque" - molded fake wood dash, more rounded lines, etc. j

My personal thought is that trying to get a workable cabin into a 24-26' boat is a loosing proposition. They tend to have a beam of 8-6 or less for towing, so to fit in a galley, vberth, head, etc. and still have room in the cockpit they tend to be pretty tall. The ones I've been on underway have not been a great ride. In my opinion, the cabin on my boat is nearly useless, too, at it is a 29. I'm only 5'-9", but can't stand up in the cabin or the head.

Can you say BLOOD PRESSURE INDUCED ANEURISM??? Come on guys... Some ones gonna stroke out out or have a massive MI:rolleyes:... Can't we all just G, G... G G GGet along???;)

Anyway, getting back to the original subject... But first, Lipp... You a funny guy:D!!!

Now lets try this again... We're talking about a group of above average quality boats... Can we all agree on that? Cobalt may be a cut above when it comes to quality, workmanship, and attention to even the minor details; but we're still talking about boats which are in the same or at least similar catagories. That being said, it really comes down to personal preferance. If one uses some higher quality trim than another; but you prefer the hull design of one over another, than you've just got to weigh out all the pros and cons of each choice. Make a list and compare. Heck, make a pie chart if you need:rolleyes:. You need to be happy with your boat.
Whatever your decision, I only wish you all the best, and a GREAT deal on whatever you choose to purchase.

Safe and happy boating always!!!

He's talking about what the saying you used (pot and kettle) means, Matt, not saying you don't know anything about boats.

Good to see at least someone here did well at reading comprehension :p
