AQ151B Overheating

Good Evening,

My 1978 AQ151B engine is overheating and I do not know what to do next. I have replaced the water pump impeller, rebuilt the heat exchange, installed a new thermostat, and it is still overheating at 2.5 RPMs and cools down ideling. Where should I go next? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome!

Check the intake fitting at the outdirive by pulling the hose off. It's the hose and fitting right beneath the ujoint bellows. Those fittings like to rot out and leak air. Pull that hose and examine the fitting.
