To refill, you can either go through the large screw on the front right side of the top plate of the outdrive or through another large screw hole at the upper right side of the shift shoe mount - if yours has that arrangement.
Either way, you'll need to remove the dipstick to allow it to vent. You need to find a funnel with a small spout and hold it up while pouring. Have patience, it takes awhile. Stop and check the level frequently ard realize the oil takes a few seconds to settle around the gears and bearings. You don't want to over fill it.
