Appeals Court.......

It shouldn't even be in court. It would be like a NASCAR driver going to court because their car didn't pass inspection after a race.

Not to belabor the point - It is a dollars and cents issue. Four game checks worth for Brady. Sure, he can afford to miss 4 checks, but what about a rookie playing for a rookie minimum salary with the chance of having his neck broken or a higher chance of having his brains scrambled? It has become a matter of principle between Brady and the NFLPA trying to rein in Godell by curbing some of his unreasonable power.

This all ended up in the courts because there was no avenue within the NFL past a single appeal, which was denied by the Football Czar.

The only comparison with Nascar is Stewart being fined for making comments about safety. Inspections are done on every car before they take the track anytime and the standards are pretty much cut and dried.

Kinda a humorous. Tony makes comments about safety, or lack thereof, and he's fined. Have I ever mentioned Nascar is out of control? :noidea::)

Inspections are done, but I bet 90% of the teams do something, somewhere, on the car that's illegal. Some just seem to get caught more than others.

There are inspections on the car that wins after the race too. I think they do random post race inspections also. They can get huge fines. The patriots have been found cheating before. There needs to be something done.

Cheating? Chad Knaus anyone?

Knaus was suspended, not Jimmie
Suspend Belichick not Brady

Idk, it was 2 seasons ago. Something should have been done then, fine Brady/NE ok..... 4 game suspension way after the fact, naw..... If Goodell would have just fined them when it happened, the fines would have been paid and that would have been that...... I think he's on a witch hunt against NE because they are so talented, which is not good for the NFL.......

I am not a Chad Knaus fan at all. He probably does some cheating. NE has cheated in the past. A fine would work but it would need to be big. It is not talent when you cheat to win. A rule is a rule. If you don't like it don't join. Just like anything else, if you don't like the rules at your work or pay than don't work there.

not sure how true it is but i heard Brady re-worked his contract for a minimum pay the first 4 games just in case this went through. and yes, knaus has probably been fined and caught cheating more than any other crew chief in nascar. including telling jimmie to purposely wreck his car doing a victory burnout
