Just heard through a very reliable source that this has happened.

Should be interesting to see how they fare in the future.

No idea who bought them and nothing on their website.

The reason I know it was sold is our marina was called "Doral Marine Resort" and they have to surrender the Doral name so they are in the process of picking a new one.

They were purchased by Denis Poliseno of Quebec out of bankruptcy protection. This is actually a hopeful sign; boat manufacturing facilities remain intact, and it looks like some direction for the company in the form of oversight and fresh capital.

Wow it might be a good thing for it to remain in Canada but we will have to wait and see what developes from here. One can only hope for the best!!

Denis Poliseno is the owner of the biggest Doral dealer, Poliseno Marine. Him and a partner bough Doral. The partner (forgot his name) aproch me this summer at the lock in Ottawa while boating. He was very exited about this transaction. He said hes bringing back the Sunquest and Escape line but didn't mentioned anything else in smaller boat.

I bought my bowrider at Poliseno in 2007 . I also live 5mins from them .
When they stoped producing the Sunquest models they went with Mariah products. Poliseno told me that they're working on bringing back the Doral bowriders as of 2011 .

As for the pricing...I doubt they will be cheap!

Just saw and ad in the autotrader for pre-order at the Toronto Boat show for a 2011 185 Sunquest. I guess they are spooling up!
