Aplha one outdrive stuck on bell housing

Im in the process on removing my aplha one outdrive. I have it in forward. have all six bolts off (on a side note what is the ground plate for on the lower right stud). It separated about a 1/4 of an inch and wont come any futher. Any suggestions?

I have read that a properly placed 2X4 across the top and use the trim cylinders to push it off. Search around for your issue and you will find the exact procedure. Also I would assume you need to make sure you don't let it fall when it comes loose.

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,....

Put the trim rams back on, a 2x4 between the topcap, 'n transom housing, then trim it off...

Put a 2x4 up Under it, lift it High, 'n Slam it down on the 2x4...

How long has it been since it's been off,..?? Saltwater maybe,..??
