Anywhere in the midwest to rent boat trailers?

I'm looking to move a 26' boat, but can't afford a trailer at this time. Anyone know where you might be able to rent a sufficient trailer for this job?

I have never heard of anything around here. I know I have seen larger boats on flat bed trailers being moved. I do not think that is the answer you are looking for though. A buddy of mine has a couple pontoon trailers and puts an ad in the paper twice a year offering services for moving pontoons at the begining and end of season.

Maybe try a marina and ask around if they know of anyone with a boat similar to yours and see if a deal can be struck for moving. Some larger marinas might even have a trailer and offer their services to move it.

But as far as "renting" a trailer and being on your way...I think you are out of luck.

Also, update your profile to show where you are. There just may be a member here that is close enough to you to be in a posstion to help you out.

I would suggest adding to your post where you are picking up the boat, where you are taking the boat, what type of boat it is, and when you want to do it.

Boaters seem to be the most generous, eager to help people on the planet. You may find someone will let you use their trailer for a very reasonable fee. More details in your post might get someone to reply.

A major big water marina will likely have one.
Or some of the members that have their boats in the water will likely help you out.

Marinas on the Miss, Lake Michigan - Milw, Racine, Manitowoc, Appleton, LaCrosse, etc.

The Yacht club or the harbor master is who you need to call.

Just went to google and typed in boat trailer rental - many places come up. You'll have to do the legwork and find a place near you, but here is one example
