could you please send me some pics of your install? I'm have an extremely difficult time with the curvature of the transom, and would like to know your measurements in drilling.

What I did was use epoxy as a filler to make up for the curvature. I set one corner of the bracket with a screw, made a mold around the bracket and hull to hold the epoxy and poured it. I used modeling clay but I'm sure there are other things just as goog. 2008 model, third season with no noticeable wear or deteriation and works like a charm. I don't have pics but I think as a fine outstanding AF pilot you can understand my methods. I like to jab as i miss those days touring the world in a Herk.

Right upperhook back at ya' there Q5inOH -- thought I saw a couple of Herks flying the other day but realized it was just a couple of geese. They fly about the same speed...BTW, I'm a UPT IP now (T-6), so I've regressed in speed quite a bit.

I was looking to do something like that, but in the end, actually fretted over nothing. Put the tabs in with just a little bit of bend in the mounting bracket, put in plenty of silicon putty, and will put the boat in the water tomorrow to test them out.

John and Greg (Nauticus) have excellent CS skills....

Mounted the tabs 2 weeks ago, no major issues with the curvature. A slight bend in the mounting bracket (1/4" or so) and had it on. A little silicon around the edges, and a very small bit of epoxy.

Took the boat out on Lake Tuscaloosa today -- wow! What a difference. Quicker on plane, much less bounce on a windy day. EXTREMELY satisfied with this product.
