Anyone know what year 25 Johnson this is?

He fellas got a buddies motor and we cant locate the serial number. My guess is that it was on the silver sticker on the cowl. My estimate is that the motor is 1975ish. Anyone know by looking at the stickers on the cowl? Thanks!

You are right on the money with your guess.----I vote 1974

I'm guessing 1972-ish. Data plate should be on port side stern bracket. Should also be a serial number on a quarter-sized plug on the side of the powerhead.

Ok thanks FR. It is at his house and he said there was no plate on the transom. Ill have him check the powerhead. I think in 1974, it was the first year that johnson started using stickers instead of the plastic trim pieces on their cowlings......
