Anyone in Pensacola?

If anyone has spent any time in Pensacola I would like some feedback. Here are some questions...
What is a good neighborhood/school district?
How's the boating?
Were are areas to avoid?

Those are the three most important criteria when choosing to move. Looking for housing up to 250k. Also any basic information on the area would be greatly appreciated.

Never lived there Scrit, but I have traveled there for many years and know the area somewhat well. You'll find most of the newer housing subdivisions in the areas north of I-10 and east of the bay (Milton, Bagdad). You'll find the newer schools in these areas also. South of I-10 is more the older homes and businesses. You'll find great fishing in Pensacola Bay (it's large) and the gulf shelf drops quickly if you like deep water.

Looks like now is a good time to buy, too. Best of Luck
