If you can't tie a knot, tie a lot!!!!<br />I ditto the Palomar. I use it for everything and it's never slipped. Even on the braided lines. Just need to make it set correctly with the braids. Pull it snug and it should be good to go.

we had this topic a yr or so ago, and i use the same knot as JB, although i didn't know the name at the time.<br /><br />i use the palomar for dropshots.<br /><br />but i picked up on the uniknot from night fishing the swamps, where retying is as constant as the skeeter bites. its very fast and can be done in the dark, by feel.<br /><br />i just wanted to add that when dealing with line that i feel might slip (braided), i add another little 'stop' knot before tightening the main knot. it is easy to have it right up beside the main uniknot then. just a thought, in case you want to try out the uniknot.
