Hey everyone, I wanted to see if anyone has knowledge or experience with the Dual Pro SE (Sportsman Edition", which was made by Charging Systems International.
My boat is a 2006, and I'm not sure if this charging system came stock on the boat, but I assume it is an older model since I cannot find the exact same-looking one on the web.

This unit is underneath the captain's console, and there are trays for 2 extra batteries under there also, but there were no batteries here when I bought the boat. There is also a male plug built into the side of the console to plug in an extension cord there, and if you follow the back side of that plug, you can see that it goes directly to the Dual Pro charging system, so I assume that enables you to connect an extension cord to the boat when it is parked at home, and that will keep all the on-board batteries charged, but I don't know what this system is capable of doing when the engine is running and the alternator is charging...or when the engine is off and accessories are being used.

There is a starting battery right next to the engine inside the inboard engine compartment, but no other batteries on the boat currently...so the starting battery is currently running all electronics on the boat, including a depth finder, stereo, and other general accessories like the blower and bilge pump.

I have a spare 12v battery (not a marine battery) that I was thinking about adding to the boat to be able to run the stereo off of it, but I wasn't sure how this charging system works, and if it able to isolate the batteries so that the main starting battery is no longer running the stereo and depth finder.

Thanks in advance for any input you can give!

Absolutely nothing........it's a battery charger

That charger is designed to charge two batteries at once.
and if it able to isolate the batteries so that the main starting battery is no longer running the stereo and depth finder.
Would need to rewire/ move the stereo and depth finder power connections to the "new" battery.
