Hi all. After recently completing a lower unit reseal job on my '66 20 hp, I did some tank testing and got ye olde milkshake oil :/ , soooo I clearly need to do it again. I know that lots of folks use 3M 847 for the gasket material, but I can't find it in town anywhere and I'd rather not have to have it shipped, if at all possible. After doing some digging here in the forums I came across and old thread where someone used NAPA Aviation gasket/sealant with good success. Just curious if anyone else had any experience with it. I can get it locally and a 4 oz. container with brush top is only about $5 vs. $17 for a tube of 3M 847. Thanks.
