Anyone else sick of snow yet?

As a Canadian, I'm used to snow. But the last 5 or 6 winters have been getting steadily longer and colder. I think its been getting colder for the last 10 years or so.
Its April 27th, and its still snowing. Ice on the lakes is still solid. But then again that ice is over 4 feet thick, and if its 10-15 below normal all the time I guess spring will arrive when it wants to.

We still have about 15" of ice and we're 20deg below normal today. The snow finally quit, so that's a plus....... Yeah, I can feel your pain..... Like you basically said, there's not a darn thing we can do about it.......

We hear you, but what a beautiful place in the summer and fall. When dad, could go we went to eastern Canada every year. I miss that.

We got .59" of rain on my gauge yesterday, but the snow was nice to see up on the Spring Mountains and the Nopah range.

Tonite we "heard" spring for the first time since last Oct. A little thunder in the distance. For now, it's music to our ears. Not so much for the people in the southern states..... Stay safe down there......

Thanks Musky. Looks like the next few days could be a little bumpy here in TN. I still sit on the porch and watch the storms come in ... that is if it ain't twistin'.

I put new batteries in the weather radio because it's heading this way,too. I would much rather have snow than unpredictable twisters.
And they're saying 4-5" rain totals by Weds. There goes the lake because many of the ramps will be closed, but that's a minor inconvenience if we get tornadoes.

Sounded like one twister was on the ground for 2 hrs? Crazy........ Lots of destruction down there. Sounds like you're going to have some nasty weather for the next 2 days, kogs. Stay safe........ Condolences to the families of the 18 people who lost their lives.....

Snow is gone here in the cities at least...not sure how much ice is still on the lakes up north. The last couple winters have been cold which is a good thing because that means no mid winter warm up to melt the snow and wreck the snowmobile trails.

We've been getting a lot of rain today. Good thing it isn't snow or we'd be getting buried.... Although, it's only 34deg. It could change over at any moment.. Rain/Snow all week... Tuesday in Wed they're talking 2 - 5"...... My new prop arrived today. Like I'll get to use it anytime soon...:facepalm:
