Is that the Global cooling I've heard about? It seems to happen every year. ;)

It's been a rotten summer out here in the PNW. Weekends, envariably, were the worst. For the last few days we have had some good summer heat but like Pointer, it is chilly at night. This too will come to a quick end.

Yep!
Mid to high 70's at night, 100's during the day. Another couple months and I'll be able to go outside again!

cool weather came early in TX this year. I think we're headed for another ice age if we don't do something about this global cooling.

My proof is in the scientific studies done in the '70s.

Puddle Jumper,
I've got the thermostat set for 80. My cooling bill was under $200, I don't think I can drop it any lower though!
I think I'd freeze to death in your neighborhood! Thats like 50's and 60's F. Those iceburgs Mr. Tree saw on the Mississippi musta come from your neck of the woods. ;)

Kalian you have your thermostat set at 80f wow that would be way to hot for me. I like it about 65 to 70f. 50f is a nice temp for working in. They say in the waters around me that if you fell in with out a survival suit on that you would only have about 20 minets before you would be dead. Its one thing i don't want to try.

We had the coolest summer I can remember. The past several years it never rained and we made it to 100+ for months. This year I'm not sure we even made it to 100 one time, and it has rained almost daily for 4 months. The temps barely hit 90. In fact for July 4th, we were cold swimming at Toledo Bend!

Just think about making the switch from deep water lake trout to shallow water brown trout and in a few weeks pike.

I feel it in the air alright, that means mowing season is about over with. Now to get ready to feed the wood burner and get the snow stuff ready. I sure will be glad to get my knee worked on. Sure is a pain trying to get my work done.Grandkids are still a bit to small to move big chunks of wood around.

Up here in Connecticut the leaves are already into the color change process.

Seems to be about a month early. I am sure the dry summer did not help it much.

The fall is definitely my favorite time of year besides winter :D

yep, i feel it too, :( the season is closer to over than starting. bummer.

don't forget to top off them fuel tanks to prevent condensation. had quite a bit of condensation the other morning on the van windows, guessin the half full fuel tank was likewise inside....i ususally run with a 3/4-1/4 tank. now i'm topped off and will be till the end of the season. at least i don't think i need to add stabil...... yet......

only thing i'm looking fwd. to with the cooler weather is lack of people at the lake and seeing how cold i can go with a hardtop boat before i gots to shut'er down for the season....

It's usually late October before any perceptable change is felt down here in the oven... These perceptions are first manifested in traffic jams and clogged roads, followed in November by miniscule drops in humidity. Climate wise, it hoovers badly down here 9 months out of the year.

Yup I feel it. Soon it'll be plenty cool enough to work outside in the evening and no daylight to do it in.

This has been a pretty crappy summer. Very little rain, 100 deg. temps, watering restrictions, and the lake is down 10 feet or more. All the courtesy docks are sitting in the dirt (red clay) as are many private docs.

If I was smart I'd get out and really study the fishing structure that'll be back under water soon hopefully.
