anyone block off oil injection

just wondering if anyone has blocked off the oil injection on 2 stroke outboards I have twin 200's and i am running premix i bought the boat like that and i am thinking about going back to injection but for the price of outboards i now i am safe with premix. what is the failure rate of oil injection? I blew a snowmobile engine a few years ago due to a bad injection system.

what year 200's? when you price the replacement pumps, you may stay with premix. thats one reason people go to premix.
