Hey I was wondering if anybody here used myspace? The myspace site I use is for our ministry, so hey if you would like to join keep family orintated.....kinda like Iboats without politics..........and jokes........and boats......k its really not like iboats at all

I have a myspace for meeting girls on the net, some I now use theres for friends and family, there is a lot of porn on myspace as well though that is not what I have on my page. You will have to watch close at who you let be you "friend" I'll look at your site when I get home (can't open it from here) oh my user name there is Richard1223

The wife uses it,and she made me a page but i dont know my pass word she got on there after making it and all this women was wanting to talk to medshe denied or deleted them or something?thats all i know about it.i'll play with it tonight and see if ican get on.

Disclamer: The myspace site I posted has Christian content........and in the first sentence too. :/ would of thought the my first post calling it a ministry would have been an indication.8)

Oh I have nothing against Christian content.. or I would not have checked it out.

d Thats funny, you can come to our site and be a smoker We just want to be good influences for our young patrons ...... we want to build a place to go for people so they wont be subject to things like smoking, drugs drinking and yet still can see good bands, play pool darts and hang out.........Of course there is a strong Christian message at every event we do and we will continue to do but all are welcome....even smokers just cant be one while your on the premises We have had some really cool sponsors and because of their generous contributions we have all the product we need to get started with Big Train Frappaccino and Cappacinno drinks and torrani syrups, for coffee and cappacinno and italian sodas..........I just purchased a really cool light system for the bands and dances and cant wait to put that use. We have some really cool events coming up and our big kick off is a huge Christian Rave............ok I understand........what the heck is a rave? well its gonna be a crazy light show with techno music.With a Christian Rapper for a D.J.....for all you old foggy out there thats like modern disco......yep it sux , Im a rocker and this is so out of the box for me. Well the Kids and younger adults love it so yeeee haaaa..........We still are long way off from getting everything we need but I have faith its gonna happen. As of now we are mobile going from Church to church and youth group to youth group but we are looking into getting our own building. Check out our myspace....

my guess is the next would be internet forums just like iboats but maybe about different subjects....like maybe video games.......I guess those should outlawed too.........How about Ims or or whatever............My kids are never allowed on the internet unless im right there with them, if people watched their kids and spent time with their kids and for that matter didnt expect the internet to babysit for them these problems wouldnt exsist. Jasonj if they would be able to eliminate it (myspace)they would be able to eliminate this forum. By the way im not defending these perverts or am I even saying Myspace is safe for kids......At this moment I have 69 freinds with links to there myspace site.....every one had to be allowed by me and I denied many for there inapropriate content. And lest I sound defensive I would welcome any dialog on why you would feel something like this(our club) would be harmful to your kids KRS. I mean Im totally cool with your feeling about it so Im just curious....... As for a cult dude (kevin70)you have no clue so take your trash talk some else..........or how about this veiw......Its a 2000+ yr old cult that is the second largest religion in the world. Im pretty sure its a bit more than a cult......If you were refering to our ministry we are supported and kept accountable by a well known and respected church and a couple of youth groups here in Springfield so if you would like references on whether we are out doing something wrong or trying to ensnare kids into a cult I would love to supply them...... shees :|

Its not about takeing your kids from you or brainwashing them and if your good parents and do your job its my guess your kids aint running wild, doing drugs, drinking and getting into trouble.........I know of one way out of that troubled kind of life but I will spare you guys that talk.....I will however tell every one of these kids, teens and young adults and for that matter any person at any age I come across with these issues that there is a way out of that lifestyle and if they are interested do whatever I have to help them make better chioces in their lives..........Oh and call it comet chasing or whatever.........I call it introducing them to Jesus.

No sense in wading through the filth to find something worthwhile, put something worthwhile where a stray kid won't end up somewhere bad.... that would be the better thing to do.

I think Igotcha KRS. You were talking about myspace not the Club right?.....that myspace site is really not about reaching the kids.....we use it to network with bands, artists and other ministries.......please dont think we steer kids to myspace.........There are alot of other ministries on there and our churches youthgroup kids are starting to find us on there but our outreachs are directly to the kids to promote club events........I should say if they are allready on myspace I hope they find us if not Im not gonna tell to go join.......we have a forum like this one that we plan to promote........though everything we do on the net will have to be heavily monitored.........I have to admit Im fairly new to the myspace thing but as bad you guys and others ( my wife) say it is, and Im sure it has been abused, Im impressed with the networking I have been able to do.

Can't say anything about myspace because until you made this post M&R I had never heard of it.

But I know the people here on (iboats forum) pretty much speak the truth as they see it. So your little nich will be the only place I visit there.
Glad to see your using it (your forum/page) for a good cause.

Yes link myspace is like the rest of the internet.....you have to be carful.........any kind of service that lets you meet people chat or email is full of losers as well as good people.........like everything the bad will get much more plublicty. It is a great place to find up and comeing bands, musicians and many other people, just have to watch what your doing. I have had to deny many people(as friends) who try to join it.....even though I have right on our site

Thats where it get dangerous for kids........If you arnt paying attention to your kids while they are on the net they will be forced to deal with the dark, nasty wold thats on there...........Better you be there to help them make right decisions then to let them face it on there own.
