just curious, the internet is full of them magical machines that run without power applied. I'm an electrical engineering technician and laugh at them, but would love to see the plans that supposedly let you build a workign machine. i was thinking about spending the $50 for the plans but dont want to fuel the scammers if they are scammers

Yep - been curious myself.
What do you reckon we all chip-in, copy off the plans and all have a go at them.
Just make sure we pay for them with the plastic and if it is a scam, get the transaction reversed.
Cheers

It is theoretically possible to build a machine whose only input is air (or water) and whose only exhaust is cooler air (or water) and some other form of energy.

I haven't seen anybody do it yet.

Re: anybody bought any free energy machine plans?

There are an abundance of machines that collect (FREE) wind, water, solar and geothermal energy and convert them to electrical energy.

The capital outlay and maintenance cost make most of them impractical on a small scale for applications that are spoiled by massive and inefficient energy use.

I built a savonius rotor wind generator for fun using a 100amp Chrysler alternator that made enough electric energy on average to power lighting for a small cabin. It also would have required several big deep cycle batteries. I calculated that it would take slightly over 10 years to pay for itself.

I didn't really think it would last 10 years without major maintenance.

I don't see the "FREE Energy" scams any more. They almost all work part of the time (when their kind of free energy is available) and would come in handy if you are living waaay off the grid and have capital to invest. It would be best (and most expensive) if you combine several, like wind, solar, et al into a network, so that at least one is generating at all times.

One of my daughters researched and roughed out a plan to build such a network to power her 1500 sf home.

It came to about $35,000 initial outlay with an estimated $1,000 a year in maintenance. How much electricity would that buy for how long??

"Free" energy systems make more sense when they are simply supplements to the grid, but the return on investment is poor to none.

I was more interested in the magnet motors that spin by themselves

Yea, too bad they have little torque. Neat idea, but impractical.

Are you talking about zero point energy? Very real; harnessing it is the tricky part. Stop laughing, start thinking outside the box, that's where real development and creativity converge.

The energy itself may be free but the collection and conversion to a useable form is the expensive part.

Re: anybody bought any free energy machine plans?

Ask yourself this, when pondering a potential scam: Why would someone sell the plans or idea, or whatever, when they could make millions by keeping their mouths shut and working their plans quietly on their own. Just like all these plans for sale that promise riches by doing whatever it is that the seller wants to hilite- real estate, work at home, etc....
My guess is that there is no money to be made other than selling the concept to others. Who will be stuck.
Remember the Pogue carburetor back in the 1970's? Supposedly this device magically transformed your 10mpg gas guzzler into a 200 mpg gas sipper. They even built in some conspiracy theory to make it more enticing. Big oil conspired with the auto makers to keep the device off the market so the demand for gas wouldn't go down. Of course it was all hooey.
Mythbusters recently tested that carburetor and the car got significantly worse mileage than the stock carb.
Ever watch the movie Napolean Dynamite? Remember the scene where they bought a time travel machine on the internet and almost electrocuted themselves? Same type of thing.

Thomas Edison said he may not have found a way to make it work, but he did find 999 ways that dont work. I'm sure before he made it work people laughed at the idea of a lighbulb, lighting a room by running electricity through a piece of wire.

With the advance in science and technologu something new should pop up sometime soon. If I had something like that that people could build themselves I would give it away at a reasonable price to make the world a better place instead of sitting on the idea and hoping that I might make big money by selling out

Re: anybody bought any free energy machine plans?

Well, I bought one and it was a disaster! I had so much free energy I filled every cabinet and shelf in the house, it was stuffed into the basement and attic. OMG my wife was getting MAD since I had all of this excess free energy around. I gave away the extra energy to my friends and neighbors......... it was plain old embarrassing to have. I even used to sneak out late at night and dump it off the side of the road into the ditches. I had to get rid of the machine before I got caught!!

Back in the 1970's I overdosed on the gas savings device for my car too. I had to strip the widgets off of the car since I found my fuel tank over flowing and spilling gasoline all over the road!

Now that it is gone and I am paying for energy the old fashioned way I feel more like a good member of society. I am glad it is over. :D

I am not fully cured yet....... I was looking for the plans to convert snow to sunshine but....... considering what the sunshine does to Florida I decided against it!

and yes, we had snow twice this week!! :)
