Any west coast fiberglass supplies companies?

I am getting ready to purchase all of the necessary supplies for finishing my floor/stinger restoration project. Is anyone aware of any west coast material suppliers? <br /><br />I know that US Composites is a favorite vendor but they are in FLA. I fear that whatever price advantage they have will be eaten up in freight charges plus it will probably take over a week to get here. I could get a whole lota work done in that week. I guess I didn't plan head very well.<br /><br />Any ideas will be appreciated.

If your using epoxy you can't beat US composites even with shipping. For polyester call around, check the yellow pages. If you can buy in bulk you can save some money. I think Home Depot is $23.oo a gallon but they only have the fininshing resin and you don't want to have to sand after every coat. I bought some from TAP plastics. Not really cheap but they had a good selection. www.tapplastics.com

Jon, did you deal direct with them or go through one of their retailers? They have no prices on their website.<br /><br />I just bought a quart of epoxy resin and catalyst, at Boatersworld. It cost as much as a full gallon at US Composite.

I bought at a local dealer (kitchener fibreglass) and I paid $158.00 for 1 gallon and a half gallon of hardener. They also sold me on a meterd pump system that will get your mix rite every time they cost me $18 bucks all canadian funds of course. <br />By the way where is the "Original Vancouver"?<br />regards Jon

Thanks Jon.<br />The "original Vancouver" is in Washington state, on the Columbia River, across from Portland Oregon. Both BC and WA State Vancouvers were named after the same British Captain. USA was the first one, originally Fort Vancouver.
