any tips on replacing the prop shaft seals on a dp-sm outdrive?

i have the spanner tool to remove the retainer from the case but i do not have the puller to pull the outer shaft from the drive. anyone make their own? this thing is over 2oo bucks.

I've used a long jawed 3-jaw puller using the outer shaft prop nut to pull against and pushing on the inner shaft.

I did much the same, only I made a 45mm hole in a bit of 60 mm flat bar. Put the flat bar over the outer shaft then put the prop nut on and used a 2 leg puller on the flat bar, hardly needed any pulling.
