I was hoping to be at the LOTO house next week.
Unfortunately, loose ends in Texas keep getting looser.

I'm out in the Alton Pool every weekend. Its to close to home to pass up. I put my runabout in at two Branch marina in St. Peters, Its not the nicest marina out there but all i'm doing is dropping a boat in the water to who cares lol. We Keep our cruiser at Lake Center Marina out by New Town, That marina is really nice. Hide-a-way harbor is also nice, The mud in the parking lot was because the water in grafton and alton has been flooded for a few weeks now. See you guys out there!

Re: Any Missourians on here?

Sorry ahoy49, don't have it set to let me know when someone replies to this thread and haven't been paying any attention recently. Goose Creek is about 410 acres if I remember correctly and there are restrictions. First you have to own both the boat and the land in your name to get it on and boats are restricted to 22' and 230hp. Pontoons can be up to 28' still and I think maybe deckboats but I could be wrong on the deckboat size. Also, you are limited to 2 watercraft per lot so if you wanted to have a boat and 2 pwc then you would have to have two lots or else pay a fairly high fee each year for the additional sticker(s). There are two storage lots down there if you can't store them on your lot as well. I'm not sure about the one up front by the security gate but the one we leave one boat at is $30/month and only two blocks from the ramp. The other boat just stays on a lot right near the storage and the jet ski goes back and forth every weekend for now. That might change soon though.

It is a nice clean lake though and definitely a good time. It does get pretty packed on some weekends so water sports are probably best during the week when the lake is pretty much completely empty but even the weekends are fine at times. There are also two coves where people will tie up and hang out all day. It isn't unusual for us to end up with a dozen boats tied up together in just our group alone. I just found out from my dad in an email this morning that there is actually going to be a DJ on Saturday and a live band on Sunday that will be anchored on a modified pontoon and playing all day in the cove that we always go to.

The other benefit to going to the same cove every weekend and tying up is that when you have a problem with your boat, you don't have to try very hard to find a tow back to the ramp. The starter went out in my boat last weekend and we had to get a tow back. It fired right up in the morning but that was it. Oh well. We all know going into it that boats are going to cost money and it is something I can have fixed by the weekend so no big deal.

One the river goes back down you'll see me out there again, been hitting Mark Twain and Carlyle with the river flooded.

Anyone else going to be down at Bull Shoals this weekend?

We're planning on either Carlyle or Kinkaid for this sunday the 4th.. We'll arrive at the ramp early (by 9am) and take out by like 3pm so we can hopefully avoid the ramp chaos. Anyone else going out on the 4th?

Carlyle should be cresting today (just under 451) which will make the ramps short, or they may be forcing people to use the high water ramps.

I was there this past Saturday and the lake was just below 450 and the entire ramp was underwater, but still very usable. Water was fairly clean (compared to the Mississippi or Mark Twain anyway) and there were a fair number of boats out. Launching and retrieving weren't too nerve wracking, but there was a crowd at the ramp that caused me to wait just a bit.

St. Charles here. We're up on the river at Lake Center on a hoist. Last year was our first year and we love it. It's crazy right now though. We had to go up and pick up our trailer last week from the marina so it wouldn't float away! Hope it clears up soon.
