Congrats on the sale. Boat must have been in prestine shape for get that amount of money for a boat with that issue...or the buyer was uneducated.
I would NEVER NEVER buy a boat with leak issues, i keep it at the docks all summer....that job is not that easy and is costly till you get everything done, had all that done on my 22' bayliner and wish i had just walked away from that original purchase in hind site....i hate being the guy winding up with other guys problems!

just fyi this wasn't the guys first boat and I made it clear the situation. The boat was in pretty good condition overall for being a 96, just a few this and thats normal for its age and then obviously the leak but he seemed like a big time DIY repair kind of guy and seemed confident he could fix it. He had a couple of his buddies there with him that agreed with him. I threw in a couple life jackets, a tube, made sure all the necessities were in order like fire extinguisher, horn, lights, muffs, dock bumpers, anchor, etc, etc. Hard to throw hundred of dollars at repairs with the baby on the way, but thanks for the congrats on that. This was my first power boat and I loved it. Only had a couple of minor rookie mistakes ever. I know for sure what to look for next season when I get the next one. and my current 1.5 yr old absolutely loves the boat right now. she's been on it since under a year old.
