i have a 16 ft semi v jon boat i recently purchased with the hopes of converting to a duck hunting boat. im on a limited budget and im looking for idea's on how to make a blind for it. i plan on painting it. it has a rather fresh coat of bright silver paint on it. can i just paint over it now with spray paint? does anybody recommend a rhino liner or spray/paint on bed liner for the inside of the boat? i have a 1969 6 hp evinrude. is that anywhere enough power for a boat that size? where would i find out on the boat the rating for how many horse motor i could put on it? are theyre any websites out there with photo's on it i could use to gather idea's? thank you to everybody who can help me out.

If the paint is in good shape then a good scuffing with a 3M pad should be enough for new paint to stick. Krylon sells camo paint in both spray cans and in quarts. Pics of duck boat blinds are all over google/images:

There is some concern about the spray on bedliner being a little too heavy for boats. I have a friend that used that Herculiner stuff from Wally World that you roll on... he loved it.

That motor will move it, just not fast. I think most 16s are rated for around 50hp. There should be a small metal plate somewhere on your boat with max horsepower/occupants etc. on it unless it has been removed. Having been painted recently, that may be the case.
