HIT 4400 (up 300) at WOT Trimmed up for speed at 35 mph maxed out...lowest plain was 12 mph at 2400 RPM. 22 MPH At 3000 RPM cruising speed. ..How do those numbers look?.
My 140HP 3.0L with a 1.98 ratio drive and an 18P 4-blade prop is turning almost those exact same numbers. Didn't you have a 4.3L, which should be a 1.81 (?) ratio drive? Also, is the MPH by GPS or the boat's speedo?

Yes 4.3 175 hp 1.81 cell phone Gps app. At sea level on a 85 deg day.Tested in light head and tail wind in mild chop with same results. Where should I be at?Cant find any specs on my boat..anywhere. I could only get to 4400 with new prop.specs are 4400 to 4800.I was assuming the lower end RPM was from the prop.Could I have other issues?
