Any benefit of drilling holes through the mid section for the exhaust outlets?

yeah we are talking xflows. I know that the 85 can be transformed into to a 140 I have all the parts to do the job. bar getting the machining done. think I will have to sort out some basic info as of where my engine is just now then take things from there

Yeah and I'd like to see some data to back up the claim lower hp motors are faster outa the hole, and have better midrange ...(?)

Going with a smaller carbs increase response at low/mid rpm due to a velocity increase,that why the 85's have smaller carbs. (1" and 1-1/16)...
