So I'm looking at a boat for sale. It's a 1989 Dynasty 190 Apollo
The engine is a 4.3L i/o I couldn't hear it run (b/c it's like 30? F here and winterizes), but my neighbor, who I trust, tells me it runs fine. . . let's assume it does.
Interior looks really nice for its age. The trailer looks great, too.
Two things are wrong with the boat, the owner told me:
- The fuel gauge doesn't always work. Sounds like there's maybe a short in the wire or it needs replaced. He never cared about that because he didn't slip the boat, and he just fueled it up every time he put it on the water.
- The floor in the back is soft. He showed me where he put a carpeted piece of plywood over the floor (it's just floating, he didn't attach it) as a "quick fix" and said he was going to replace the floor eventually, but now is just selling it.
Reason for selling: he bought a camper and has been using it a lot; he didn't take the boat out last year at all.
He is asking $3500 for it. Says he's not in a hurry to sell it and if I don't want it, he'll put it in the paper for $4000 in the Spring.
I, personally am not in a hurry to buy it, either (LOL), but wanted to see what you guys thought of this boat.
Thanks for the help! Pictures are below . . . .
