Ive found this way to be the safest for raw water cooled engines..Flush and fog engine,remove block drains, engine circ pump hose,(remove top connection ,bend to drain it,),manifold drain plugs,use wire or nail to make sure there draining and not just dripping,reinstall the drain plugs,pour 2 gal.or so into the block using the circ pump hose until it comes out the therm. housing, reinstall hose,remove the 2 lower manifold hoses from therm housing and pour in about 1/2 of a gal.or so in each until it exists the exaust,reinstall hoses.<br />For those who prefer to use the muff method, at least drain the water out first,this way theres no question if the AF solution got diluted by left in water and cracks something or if the therm. was not open.
