A twelve inch snakehead was caught in Hunting Creek just off the Potomac River this week, it was announced today.

Virginia Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries personnel electroshocked the water but failed to find any more of the alien species.

Hunting Creek is just off the Potomac River South of Washington, DC. If there is a reproducing population of snakeheads it would be a disaster for the river, as they are voracious and prey on many species.

Another one caught, this time in the Potomac River. I hope those things can't move into the bay because it looks like the cat's out of the bag now.

This has the potential to be like the lamprey in the Great Lakes in the '50s.

Jinx
