I have searched this forum and come close to my problem,...here goes. The up on my Quicksilver 3000 classic trim switch quit working. I pushed the lever forward and removed the neutral button and 11/16 nut. I successfully repair the broken wire. It took me a long time to get the handle in the right position where it would move forward and backwards the proper distance, but I finally got it. I put the 11/16 nut back on and stuck the neutral button back in. It locks in, but does not spring back out. Actually, it was stuck in from the start. Now when I move the handle to forward or reverse it does not go in gear. Is there something on the other side of that hollow nut that the neutral button is supposed to be connected to? Did I screw something up? Does that neutral button somehow engage the cable inside of the box? It feels as if there is no linkage connected to the lever. Do I need to go inside the box and somehow connect that neutral button to the shift linkage? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Robert

Re: Another Quicksilver 3000 classic problem

Let me join the ranks of those with Quicksilver 3000 Classic Problems - I removed the side panels to reupholster last month and have had problems with the #@%& shifter & throttle ever since - Yesterday, while on the water, the neutral button became stuck and the the shifter would not work and became basically stuck in reverse - I was able to pop the button off and replace it but I am still stuck in neutral - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Ron, have you solved this problem, because I have the same one. Stuck in neutral and cannot get the button to pop out.
