I've read some of the other fourms on gel-coat<br />restoration,using Comet, scotch brite pads, buffing compounds,to remove the oxidiation, and bring back shine,Is this process also recommended for Metalflake paint/gel-coat as well? Any help would be great. Thanks

In answering your question..yes, gelcoat can be buffed to a new like luster using the proper compound without water sanding. On your boat however; If you can feel the flake through the clear gelcoat, there will be little that can be done for a lasting shine.

I cant feel the flake,it feels pretty smooth.I used an oxidiation removal kit from the bass pro shop and it helped some what,it was a 3 part,ox removal, buffing compound, and a wax,it looked ok but 3 days later some areas looked bad again,.I used aorbital polisher and a lot of hand work.May be i didnt get all the oxidiation off. what do you think?

Click...can you use a variable speed buffer? Perhaps a better question would be: are you looking for some sort of magic wax like the product you bought? The only way I know to restore a boat's gloss is buffing with the proper compound.

Use the same compound the boat factories use to remove imperfections in their molds and finished boats. The information is out there on the web..seek and you will find.
