Another 15hp Mariner year question.

I'm new to outboards and got this one for free, got it running, barely, today. I attempted to look up the serial number using some of Gerry's links without any luck. its a 15hp Mariner with a Yamaha engine. And since i'm asking, would an air leak upstream of the fuel pump cause idle issues? there's a few of them.

Yes it will cause that and other problems.

Thanks, crossing my fingers that an new fuel line and connector will fix the problem.

A lot of times the O ring in the connector is the cause.

Thanks gerry. The o rings on the connector seem to be non-existent so I'll start there. I look forward to trouble shooting
