Are these "Scientist " insane or what? Hard to believe I have to pay for this bs tv show. Turns out UFOs came here a long time ago and trained humans to build useless buildings that withstand earthquakes. UFOs let humans borrow high tech equipment to carve stuff on rocks and out of rocks. Then UFOs high tailed it out never to be seen again. Anything that can't be explained by today's scientist is the work of UFOs. Even though no beings could ever find Earth or reach Earth. Why would they travel trillions of miles just to teach us things and then leave?

Lots of crazy/worthless reality TV programming.....that said, my wife watches some stuff that makes me cringe.... while she thinks my Finding Bigfoot and Swamp People shows are ridiculous....guess it's all in the eyes of the beholder!...

that is awesome. I was in Baltimore last week working with a twenty something 'kid' and actually pulled up one of those pics to show him what he was going to look like in 20 years - his hair is starting now...

Then why do you watch it?

Cause I am paying for it whether I like it or not. Either that or reruns of Pickers haha TLast night his hairdo did look like a Flying saucer or a Solar system. Just one thick black swirl

There's a mathematical explanation for this type of show:
bazillion channels + 24-hour programming = tons o' carp

One caveat to my post above. I am not making fun of people who watch shows like this. I would be on the couch at 1:00am with the rest of them sucked into hours of mindless garbage only to regret staying up all night filling my head with useless info. That's why I'm glad we don't get carp like this anymore so I can get some sleep.

Although Netflix and HULU are both quickly becoming my new vice in cold weather! Binge watching at its best!

Actually this makes me wonder. We seen shows like "Flip this house" and huge numbers of home improvement shows to show amateurs tackle their home refurbishing efforts. I wonder when somebody is going to present a show, (and make tons of money) showing a "Flip this boat"? Now that would go over really big. Just look at this boat site alone and see the daily turn over of questions and projects and that doesn't even count the numbers of viewers that don't even leave any comments but merely look for their answers to their boating issues. I think it would be a big hit! Norm Abram of New Yankee Workshop probably didn't think his woodworking project show would go over as big as it did either... :thumb: :thumb: Remember I get a cut for suggesting it!

seems like I saw something about this last week on THt. They guy offered his boat, then turns out you have to pay for it or something. Didn't absorb the thread very well.

The new president of the Vatican Observatory Foundation has said that it is only a matter of time before alien life forms are discovered, which will pave the way to questions about God's relationship to intelligent beings outside our planet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ble_exoplanets

On 4 November 2013, astronomers reported, based on Kepler space mission data, that there could be as many as 40 billion Earth-sized planets orbiting in the habitable zones of Sun-like stars and red dwarfs in the....... Milky Way,[SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP] ...................11 billion...................... of which may be orbiting Sun-like stars.................[SUP][6][/SUP] The nearest such planet could be 12 light-years away, according to the scientists.[SUP][4][/SUP][SUP][5][/SUP]

There are billions of galaxies in the visible universe. Enlarge

Want
to make a bet in Vegas...........Specualtion and conjecture you better believe it...well founded well that's another story or not

Suppose the only normal person is yourself. You are only being observed in a world created by aliens to study your behavior and learn how an actual human responds to different situations....

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my admiral won't ever admit or agree that I'm the normal one ;)

off-world simulated existence or not

I don't want this to get into a religious discussion. This thread is about the show and not about religion. This is about the TV show only. The shows producers and the narrators are clearly atheist. Anything Biblical that is supernatural is explained away by the Alien theory. Ancients clearly had technology , tools and skills you wouldn't think they would have. Precision carvings that would required robotics to do today.. Lifting and moving super heavy objects that would take cranes to do today. ETC This is all explained away by saying Aliens helped or did things for the Ancients. Motive for Aliens to do this is left out
Why would Aliens travel trillions of miles just to train humans to make primitive things in a high tech way?. Not every day you find a beautiful planet like Earth and all its amenities. But no, Aliens just trained/built . Packed up and left.
Earth is like a needle in a haystack. A grain of sand in all the world beaches when compared to how many objects there are in the Universe. How would Aliens find us? By the time our radio signals reach the nearest inhabitable planet it is likely the would have been hit by a life ending asteroid or comet. They would be hearing about a Earth that existed millions of years ago. Other Planets face the same fate we do. Some worse than ours. Jupiter's gravity detours a lot of what could hit the Earth.
I just think the show has an Atheist motive more than they believe Aliens visited the Earth

I'm thinking you kinda opened up a big ole can of worms with this discussion, because if you cannot see it, touch it, hear it, smell it,, its just speculation.

And there lots of things out there to speculate about
