Anchoring

Thanks for the discussion on the thread "anchoring Islander." I am now acquiring a 26 ft Sea Ray cabin cruiser. Am faced with the same problem of how to access bow for anchoring, since I mostly do still fishing solo. The boat is essentially a gift! (It will mean a very welcome upgrade from my current Formula 24, but I'm scratching my head on how I'll fish in a tidal stream, where typically the line trails from the transom outward.) I would welcome ideas! Again, thanks for the thread and the responses so far!

Ayuh,..... Nothin' says ya gotta use the bow eye,....

Toss out the anchor, 'n tie it off to a conveinient cleat,..

Well never anchor your boat in any current unless it is from the bow!! Back in my Coast Guard days on the Missouri river. we had a boat that was tied to the back cleat. His boat sunk by the current. Lucky he was in a shallow area, his boat popped right up when the anchor rope was cut.
