I have a 16ft Lund fishing boat. whats a good anchor and what weight would be best for fishing lakes??

Style/type of anchor correctly matched to the type of bottom you most frequent is more important then the weight of the anchor. Find out the type of bottom you boat in, then get an anchor for that type of bottom. Most decent anchors are also rated at a size vessel they are designed to hold fast. Once you jnow the bottom, the anchor manufacturer will guide you to what size for your boat.

If the lake bottom is sand/silt/soft a fluke style anchor of 5# will work OK. If rock or hard bottom, maybe a navy-style anchor is better choice.
