I finally got smart, I stopped using anchors, unless in an emergency. I bought a boat with a TM that has spot lock, much easier (less work) than any anchor and rope. Best part is, it is so easy to change locations, sure wish I would have found this sooner!!!
What is a TM with spot lock? trolling motor?

Pulled ole girl home yesterday to unhook my old switch panel and rework the wiring to better the cable management lol. Was looking at my anchor rope i got 3 years ago and noticed one of the strands was cut through and only held on by 2 of the 3! Ordered me some 100' 3/8 Double braided nylon! Heck even found out my damn drain plug was broken as well! so got 2 new stainless steel ones! Gotta love being a boat owner! Between the new depth finder (which was needed, figures) the motor being serviced by the mercury dealer, and my latest purchase of new switch panel, rope, and drain plug im up to about $800 to start the season! almost to the break out another thousand mark!
