I am looking at replacing my anchor line. Rainier Supply of Seattle Washington has a spool of one half by three hundred feet for a very reasonable price. I am wondering if anyone has used their products. Reviews are mostly good but a few have complained about fraying and poor reliability. Any feed back would be appreciated.
Thanks, Dan T.

A lot depends on use, salt or freshwater only. Can't say I have ever worn thru an anchor line, but I only boat in fresh water and my line is stored in a locker, never left in the sun. I would ask if it is a Chinese um brand or a good quality american.

It is american made, nylon double braid,it is for salt water. My current line is poly and about 30 years old, still seems ok but I think it is time.

Surprised you got that kind of life from poly rope. I also prefer the double braid as it is much easier on the hands than twisted rope. You didn't say the cost but whatever it is, it sounds like good stuff.

With further research I find that this line is Chinees, infact it seems that all anchor line on amazon is made in china. I will continue my search. Btw, my old line is about 30 years old but spent the first 25 on a .spool in a shed.
