Ammeter or Voltmeter?

I could use some suggestions on what is the best way to keep track of the battery and charging system on my force 125 OB. Would a voltmeter or an ammeter provide the better information?<br />Thanks

Ammeter measures current draw, or load (how much is being used).<br /><br />Voltmeter measures voltage between to points.<br /><br />You would want a voltmeter to monitor the battery and charging.
