Re: am i getting old?

My forgetter's getting better,
But my rememberer is broke
To you that may seem funny
But, to me, that is no joke

For when I'm "here" I'm wondering
If I really should be "there"
And, when I try to think it through,
I haven't got a prayer!

Oft times I walk into a room,
Say "what am I here for?"
I wrack my brain, but all in vain!
A zero, is my score.

At times I put something away
Where it is safe, but, Gee!
The person it is safest from
Is, generally, me!

When shopping I may see someone,
Say "Hi" and have a chat,
Then, when the person walks away
I ask myself, "who the hell was that?"

Yes, my forgetter's getting better
While my rememberer is broke,
And it's driving me plumb crazy
And that isn't any joke.

IF YOU CAN YOU RELATE TO THIS
Please send this to everyone you know
because I DON'T REMEMBER WHO I SENT IT TO!!!!

yeah, ROSS,,,my pop used to say that in the 1930's ,, the average good wage was 35 cents an hour.. an a loaf of bread costs 5 cents...

so thats 7 loaves for an hours wage..

heck,,i can buy 15 or so now for an hours wage..

but for some reason ,, it was easier to make ends meet with that old wage in that old time...

it's not the bread,, it's all the rest.. housings a killer... back then ,, 1 weeks pay ,,1 months shelter... now it's 2 goin' into the third weeks pay for housing..

Ryan, you sure do have good work ethic. You will go far with that.

Matt.., I remember my first new car. I signed the papers and then on the way home was in such a daze, I almost ran over a curb. I never thought I could afford it, even though I needed it to get to work.

The next time I had a feeling like that, was when I saw the truth in lending statement for the house I bought. When you see you pay more in interest than for the house, it throws you for a loop.

Now it is second nature to sign the papers on cars, and refinancing the house. My biggest problem is I want to know that I can always make those payments and that my job and company are secure.

The easiest money I signed for was student loans. You never see the money or the product. The hard part is when you get out of college and need to get a job that will let you afford groceries, housing, etc on top of a $750 a month student loan payment. I just paid them off finally last year after some deferrments for hard times.

The best time to buy things like a boat are before the wife, house and kids.
