Am I crazy because I want to put a temp gauge on my Johnson?

Just spoke with the local marine dealer who acted like I was crazy for simply wanting a temp gauge on my '71 60hp Johnson. Am I crazy? I just want an idea of where the temperature is running. I know a water pressure gauge is a better bet, which I plan to do in the future, but for now I just want a temp gauge - just curious what temp it's running at. Can't hurt right?<br /><br />Well the marine dealer made is seem like a huge hassle and wasn't any help. <br /><br />Can somone give me the model number/name of a Teleflex temp gauge and sending unit that you used to do this on a similar motor? The temp gauge for that motor has a sending unit that screws into a bracket (supplied in the kit) and that bracket is held on the head by one of the water jacket cover bolts. No holes, no drilling. The T-flex gauge is that way and so is the OMC or BRP kit.

Thanx Dhadley. <br /><br />I can't seem to find the O/B Teleflex Temp gauge kit. Is there such a kit? I can find the gauges and senders, but from the info on iboats.com and overtons.com I cannot tell what comes with what. I spent 30 minutes on the teleflex site trying to figure it out but with no luck. <br /><br />I was hoping someone could point me to the product number so i could tell my local marine dealer to order it for me or i could order it from iboats.com. <br /><br />Here are the gauges I found on iboats and overtons.com but as you can tell their descriptions are generic.
