I have a old but new to me starcraft 14' riveted boat .The keel is the entire length of the boat. The keel fills with water and drips out of a small hole in the keel when I remove it from the water. My question is : Should the keel be getting water in it? If no, what would be the best way to seal out the water?

Yep ^^, the weep hole keeps water from sitting inside the keel over a winter & risking expansion damage from freezing.

It is separated from the interior of the boat, so there should be no water getting into the boat.

14ft Starcraft is a great fishing boat. Welcome to iboats, tin division.

There's an extremely active Starcraft owner's group forum @iboats too. It may encourage you to 'want' a larger boat though......
