Hello, I've got an old Duranutic 14' aluminium that needs some TLC, she's a great boat heavy aircraft aluminum my question is I've done quick repairs on it by instead of replacing rivets I've used panhead screws and being a house painter thats what i've painted the hull in is SWP Oil based house paint, don't laugh it's held up beautiful and still looks great after 25 yrs my question is this Gulvit Sealer will I be able to go over the paint on the outside or should I put it in the inside where its still the aluminum, I realize i've got to topcoat after it cures.. Thanks and I'd sure like to get her in the water for opening day this weekend..

Re: Aluminum Hull Repair???

Welcome to iboats.

Use the gluvit on the inside.

Rustoleum rolled on is the way "most" of the aluminum boat owner's have done it......myself included.
