I have a '89 classic deluxe and need to replace the floors. It appears I have to remove the live well to get the floor out. Anyone have any experience along those lines?

All of the rivets need to be drilled out, including the ones through the hull holding in it,...

However, I know a couple of guys that were able to leave it in and get the new floor in under the livewell,...

So it can be done,...

It's not all that bad,...

I took mine out on a 16 Alumacraft Lunker,.....

But looking back, And after seeing it done without taking it out I would have tried that first,...

I redid my 1988 V14 Lunker. You have to drill out every rivet in the floor and I had to remove my live well and storage locker. Alumacraft also spot welded the mounting flanges. Go back thru the threads back around the 1st of the year you will find mine, along with pictures. While you have the floor out, inspect and replace wiring , along with doing a leak test.

In my 15 ft Sylvan, the live well was attached to a bracket with a wood strip over the top. I drilled out the rivets holding the wood in place, pulled the wood and then could remove the well from the bracket without drilling out the through hull rivets.
